Based in Saudi Arabia, he is a Saudi type designer and calligrapher, and the founder of Mestara Type Foundry. A lifelong calligrapher, he designed his first Arabic font at the age of fifteen and has since focused on advancing the quality, craft, and visibility of Arabic typography. Alongside Mestara, he has launched multiple creative ventures, including an educational platform for teaching Arabic calligraphy and an e-commerce initiative providing tools and resources for calligraphers. His work is driven by a commitment to expanding Arabic type culture and enriching the limited ecosystem of high-quality Arabic fonts.
